Are you and your spouse look alikes?

I have always noticed that many couples look like they could be brother and sister. Now I see why...A new study shows that woman are more likely to fall for someone with similar facial features because they inherently trust them more. Not to say that we don't enjoy the view of a masculine man's man, we just don't believe a word they say...CLICK HERE to read more!

Xavier Rudd

Xavier Rudd is an Aussie singer, songwriter and tears up the didgeridoo along with the slide guitar like no other! Much of his music is guitar heavy and socially conscious. A bear footed vegetarian neo hippy type if you will. He released his first album TO LET in 2002 followed by SOLACE in 2004, FOOD IN THE BELLY IN 2005, WHITE MOTH 2007 AND DARK SHADES OF BLUE IN 2008. I only own Food in the Belly but I listen to it religiously. It’s an extremely relaxing album as I’m sure all of his albums are. So sit back, put your feet up and enjoy all 2 minutes and 52 seconds of this video of him playing “Better People”.

Blanket Bag

I love taking my daughter for play dates and in the summer we meet her little friends at the local park. Because she MUST be accompanied by her various furry stuffed animal friends I have to lug quite a few toys from the car to the park. I use this ingenious blanket bag that carries them all and then opens up into a blanket once we are ready to sit and play. They are currently on sale...shop away!

Grilled Peach Salad

Our favorite fun loving butter slapping chef Paula Dean has a fabulous recipe for a Grilled Peach Salad. I made it last night and everyone really enjoyed the contrast of the sweet peaches with the bitter feta cheese crumbles and crunchy pecans. This is a great summertime salad and since you already have the grill going it takes little effort to grill the peaches! Click HERE to link to the Food Network site and get this yummy recipe!

Embrace the Moustache!

To secure and or ensure my husband’s “manliness” he grows a unique villain inspired mustache once a year (mustache wax and all). After months of begging for it to be shaved off and no results, one day I decided to change my strategy. I decided to embrace and celebrate the mustache. This even included bringing them into my home! I found this hysterical pint glass that suited my search just perfectly! Everyone gets a kick out of them and now my husband has an insta-stache every time he takes a sip of beer. Cheers!
Find these adorable Mustache glasses here at BreadandBadger on Etsy!

PS..No mustache for over a year now….fingers crossed :) Embrace the Stache!

It's Electric!

Nissan is soon to release an electric car that goes 100 miles on a 30 min charge...check out this interesting article about the company and it's new direction...

By YURI KAGEYAMA, AP Business Writer Yuri Kageyama, Ap Business Writer – Sun Aug 2, 3:42 am ET
YOKOHAMA, Japan – Nissan Chief Executive Carlos Ghosn drove quietly out of the Japanese automaker's soon-to-open headquarters Sunday in the first public viewing of its new zero-emission vehicle.
It was the first time the external design was shown of Nissan Motor Co.'s environmentally friendly electric automobile, set to go on sale in Japan, the U.S. and Europe next year. The blue hatchback had a sporty design and a recharging opening in the front.
Designer Shiro Nakamura said the vehicle was designed to avoid a stereotypical futuristic design.
"This is not a niche car," he said. "We didn't make it unusual looking. It had to be a real car."
Nissan has promised that the Leaf, which goes into mass-production as a global model in 2012, will be about the same price as a gas-engine car such as the 1.5 million yen ($15,000) Tiida, which sells abroad as the Versa, starting at about $10,000.
Ghosn drove out on stage with former Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi sitting next to him, and with a Yokohama governor and mayor in the rear seats.
"This car represents a real breakthrough," Ghosn told reporters and guests at a showroom in the new headquarters.
He said the new car and new office building in Yokohama, southwest of Tokyo, marked two fresh starts for Nissan, which hopes to take the lead in zero-emission vehicles.
Nissan, which has an alliance with Renault SA of France, has fallen behind Japanese rivals Toyota Motor Corp. and Honda Motor Co. in gas-electric hybrids that have become increasingly popular recently.
Nissan said the new 22-story headquarters was designed to be sufficiently energy efficient to qualify as one of the most ecological buildings in Japan. The company, which is losing money amid the global downturn, is selling its old Tokyo headquarters as part of efforts to cut costs.
Koizumi said environmentally friendly auto technology is key to Japan's economic growth.
"It was so unexpectedly smooth and quiet," he said after getting out of the car. "I am sure this car is going to be popular."

$70.00 for a bottle of beer

I'm all for a good beer....but $70.00?!?...Here is an article explaining Fosters newest product.

By Steve Larkin, AAP, July 31, 2009 09:23am
Fosters has released a new beer that will cost $70 a bottle with expectations it will sell fast.

It comes in a champagne-style bottle and is best drunk from a wine glass.

It's in the Queen's cellar; and the maker says it has traces of vanilla and curry leaf, with hints of honey and passion fruit.

Sound like one of those pompous descriptions for a luxury wine?

It's not - it's an Aussie beer.

While the Fosters Group spends a mint on aiming some of their beers squarely at the blue-collar brigade, they're also cornering a new market: luxury lagers.

Despite tough economic times, the group is convinced success will follow arguably the country's poshest beer, the Crown Ambassador Reserve Lager.

The brewer released the first vintage - yes, the beer comes in a yearly vintage - last year.

It sold out within weeks.

The 2009 vintage will be released on Monday with Foster's expecting the limited edition lager to be again snapped up within weeks.

Some beers cost more: Sydney's boutique brewer Red Oak releases its signature beer, the Framboise Froment reserve, for around $75 for a 250ml bottle.
